At Firethorn, our biggest asset is our people and we’re committed to creating an environment in which every team member can work to their personal best, develop their professional skills and achieve their career aspirations.
So we’re delighted that Firethorn has been named by The Sunday Times in its annual Best Places to Work Awards, for the second year running.
The list recognises and celebrates the UK’s best employers, based on feedback from employees and an independent assessment of six key areas, including workplace culture, leadership, employee engagement and wellbeing.
Our 25-strong team at Firethorn all share a burning ambition to think big and do things differently. And this extends to our workplace culture, with a people-first approach that prioritises both personal and professional development.
We actively support employees to gain industry qualifications to further their career goals, and encourage participation in professional networking groups such as Women in Property. Our charity partnership with Groundwork UK offers the team unique volunteering opportunities to see the impact of our community work first-hand, and we’re also proud to offer work placements and internships at our London head office to help create pathways for future talent.
Our inspiring office space at Tottenham Court Road offers a Peloton room, collaborative break-out spaces and a modern, light-filled décor, and has played host to a variety of networking events – from yoga sessions to wine tasting – while regular team socials including our annual ski trip and summer family BBQ ensure a positive work/life balance for everyone.
Commenting on the award, Chris Webb, Founding Partner at Firethorn Trust, said:
