Firethorn Trust appoints James Sanders as Director and Head of Industrial & Logistics

Firethorn has bolstered its leadership team with the promotion of James Sanders to Director and Head of its industrial and logistics platform.

Sanders, who joined Firethorn as an Associate Director in 2023, will be focused on driving forward the ambitious growth strategy for Firethorn Logistics, as the business looks to further expand its national portfolio this year.

Previously at Lambert Smith Hampton, James has more than a decade of experience in the industrial and logistics sector.

James commented: “Firethorn continues to be a market leader in the delivery of modern and sustainable assets, as demonstrated by the quality of lettings to occupiers like B&M Retail. I look forward to being part of the Senior Director team and growing my own team to deliver new opportunities across the UK and driving the business into an exciting new chapter.”

He currently leads Firethorn’s deal origination in the Industrial & Logistics sector and manages leasing across Firethorn’s I&L Asset Management service line, including its UK-wide logistics portfolio, which spans 3.2m sq ft and includes 24 assets owned by Cain International, concluding the recent letting of a 674,265 sq ft facility at Link Logistics Park in Ellesmere Port, marking one of the UK’s largest lease agreements last year.

Chris Webb, Founding Partner at Firethorn, said: “We have experienced significant growth across the business in recent years, and intend to continue building on this momentum. James’ appointment to director is testament to his growing impact within the business and reflects the strength of opportunities for Firethorn in the logistics market. Our greatest asset is our people, and we are delighted to have made several internal promotions to drive forward these ambitions over the next 12 months.”
