Firethorn’s first UK development, Northampton Cross, was fully leased by MH Star UK from October 2021. The e-commerce retailer signed a 15-year tenancy on the two highly specified units, which span a total of 354,000 sq ft.
MH Star UK, a specialist in home, outdoor, office, pet and children’s products sold by several in-house brands, experienced rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic, as consumers adapted their spending habits and shifted to e-commerce.
Its new premises at Milton Ham put the retailer in prime position for continued expansion, whilst also bringing a boost to the local jobs market.
The significant lease at Northampton Cross was agreed within a year of Firethorn bringing the scheme to market, and prior to its official completion date.
Strategically located off junction 15A of the M1 motorway, with prime links to the road network and the A43, Milton Ham is situated within the “Golden Triangle” of logistics, on the industrial corridor running alongside the M1. The site lies adjacent to the Swan Valley Industrial Estate, which is occupied by Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Royal Mail, Carlsberg and others.
